The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has selected the Colorado College men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams for Scholar All-American honors for the 2022 spring semester.
Both Tiger programs earned the honor for the 17th consecutive semester
The women’s team posted a 3.72 grade-point average for the spring semester, while the men recorded a 3.62. Each team had the 13th-highest GPA among the 165 Division III women’s and 132 Division III men’s squads.
“A major focus of our program is consistent academic performance, and the ability to balance that with athletic excellence,” head coach Anne Goodman James said. “Not only am I proud of our team for these results, and I am also so pleased that our student leadership promotes and sets an example of the importance of academics with our entire team.”
Once again, both teams recorded the highest GPA’s among Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) schools
The award is presented twice annually to intercollegiate swimming and diving squads that achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Founded in 1922, the CSCAA is the nation’s oldest professional organization of college coaches. Its mission is to serve and provide leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming and diving at the collegiate level.
