City of Boulder issued the following announcement on Nov. 2.
Colder weather is on its way, but there are still plenty of chances to volunteer with the City of Boulder.
You can always find volunteer opportunities with the City of Boulder on Count Me In, but here are some new opportunities to help our community this winter.
Help plant pansies on Pearl Street
Prepare the Pearl Street Mall for winter and spring by helping plant pansies on the Pearl Street mall. City staff and volunteers will be planting from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. for the next two weeks. You can sign up for as many or as few shifts as you would like.

Clear snow at transit stops
We’re committed to multi-modal transportation, including year-round access to bus transit. The city’s new Shovel-a-Stop program is an effort to increase the number of bus stops cleared after each snow event. Clearing bus stops helps prevent slips and falls and increases safety and accessibility for bus riders of all ages and abilities.
This program is a great opportunity for individuals, families, neighborhood groups or community organizations.
