LAFAYETTE: Residential snow removal policy

Johnston snow 1000

Lafayette issued the following announcement on Oct. 25.

Did you know residents and businesses are required to remove snow and ice from individual sidewalks within 24 hours of the last measurable snow? Details of this policy can be found in the Lafayette City Code.

Thank you in advance for helping to ensure Lafayette is a safe place for our pedestrians during the winter months!

Volunteers needed!

Many older adults in our community are physically and financially unable to remove snow from their property. Would you like to help? Contact Lafayette Senior Services at 303-661-1499 or dinah.pollard@lafayetteco.gov.

If you are a Senior looking for assistance to clear snow from your property, you may also contact Lafayette Senior Services at 303-661-1499 or dinah.pollard@lafayetteco.gov to have a volunteer matched up with your needs.
