BOULDER VALLEY SCHOOL DISTRICT: Exploring how to safely return to in-person learning

Education

Boulder Valley School District issued the following announcement on Sept. 4.

We want to provide a quick update regarding the Working Advisory Group. They are making excellent progress and, instead of waiting for the update to the Board scheduled in late September, they will be presenting their recommendations on Tuesday evening.

Phase 2+ Recommendations – Watch Live

The Working Advisory Group will present its Phase 2+ recommendations to the Board of Education on Tuesday, September 8 at 6 p.m.

You can tune in to the meeting on BV22 (Comcast Channel 22 or livestreamed at www.bvsd.org/bv22). The reintroduction update will follow public comment. We will also share more details in an email message on Wednesday.

The recommendations are focused on these areas to begin on September 29:

  • Outdoor Learning Opportunities for all students
  • K-2 Return to the Classroom
  • Learners in our intensive special education programs
Please Note: There will be a lot more details on Tuesday at the Board of Education meeting, including efforts by the Working Advisory Group to further address the needs of preschool and 3-12 graders. Also, regardless of what in-person options may be offered – students will continue to have the opportunity to continue to learn from home.

Thank you for your patience and for the feedback you have provided thus far.
