City of Boulder issued the following announcement on June 4.

Traffic lanes on Folsom Street from Valmont Road to Iris Avenue will be impacted starting Monday, June 8, until late July as construction crews install a new water main under the street to replace the current aged infrastructure.

As the work moves from north to south the west lane of Folsom Street will be closed while northbound and southbound traffic lanes will temporarily be moved to the east side of the street. The new water main will improve the area’s water distribution system, including service reliability and water quality.

Travelers should expect delays during the construction period and additional detours may be needed. On-street parking will be prohibited where posted during working hours, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
