NAROPA UNIVERSITY: Experience Naropa Open House

Naropa University recently issued the following announcement.

On Saturday, March 21, Naropa University will throw open its doors to prospective graduate and undergraduate students from across the country and around the world at Experience Naropa – a whirlwind of activity designed to open minds, spark creativity, and begin to create the bonds of community. Tour campus, attend sample classes, and meet students and faculty who are changing the world for the better. Come for the answers to your questions, and stick around for an engaging afternoon full of lively activities and passionate people. Schedule 11:00am - Optional Tours: Arapahoe campus & residence halls 11:45am - Check in at Nalanda Campus 12:30-1:00pm - Welcome and Icebreaker 1:00-1:50pm - Sample Class Session #1 1:50-2:30pm - Snack Break 2:30-3:20pm - Sample Class Session #2 3:30-4:30pm - Offerings from Student Financial Services and the Office of Career & Life Development Discover Learn how mindfulness and contemplative education become a part of our students' daily lives in and out of the classroom. Discover if Naropa is right for you. 

Engage Explore contemplative education first-hand with our passionate faculty and leave with an understanding of what it's like to attend a Naropa class. FAFSA Workshop Walk through completing the FAFSA application with the help of Naropa's Student Financial Services staff. To take advantage of this session, please bring your tax information applicable to the FAFSA you would like to complete. 2020/2021 FAFSA—please bring 2018 taxes and/or W2s For students planning to start in Summer or Fall 2020, a 2020/2021 FAFSA should be completed. If you are under the age of 24, please also bring your parent's tax information. If you have a laptop, please bring it. If not, Naropa will provide a computer for you to use during the session. Application Station Visit the Application Station and apply for admission to your degree program of choice at Experience Naropa! Admissions staff will be on hand to answer questions and assist you throughout the event. Open to prospective undergraduate and graduate students. On-the-Spot Admissions Naropa University is excited to announce Bachelor’s On-the-Spot Admissions! Prospective undergraduate students can skip the wait, apply for free, learn if you qualify for an academic scholarship, and receive an admissions decision all in one visit! To receive an in-person decision, bring all required admissions documents (or submit prior to coming). 

Submitting an online admissions application prior to the event is highly recommended, although we will provide the option to complete an application during your visit. At a minimum, bring transcripts from your graduating high school, as well as from all colleges attended (both official and unofficial copies are acceptable). Based on academic history, we may require an essay and letter of recommendation, so be sure to review Naropa’s admissions requirements so that you arrive with all that you need. Naropa University welcomes participants with disabilities.
