The Brighton Police Department’s initial investigation has determined that the shooting on Dec. 23, 2022 was a homicide-suicide involving domestic violence. This was an isolated incident, and the firearm was recovered from the scene. There are no ongoing threats to the community. This remains an active investigation and no additional information will be released at this time.
