Colorado men’s basketball announced on June 2 the launch of its season-long theme, Colorado Built, as it began selling season tickets for the 2026-27 campaign. The program described itself as being built on trust, character, and work ethic under head coach Tad Boyle’s leadership over the past 16 years.
The announcement highlighted memorable moments in the program’s history, including a conference championship and sustained national competitiveness. According to the release, these achievements stem from a guiding phrase that has become central to the team’s identity.
The Colorado Built theme is organized around four pillars: Built by the Work emphasizes off-season preparation and dedication; Built by the Herd focuses on connections with fans, students, donors, and community; Built by Our History honors past players and successes; and Built by the Moment encourages participation in key games while reflecting on previous milestones. Boyle said, “College basketball is a participant sport.”
For the upcoming season, Colorado returns senior Barrington Hargress—described as one of last year’s most efficient guards—and second-year players Ian Inman, Jalin Holland, and Josiah Sanders. The Buffaloes also add newcomers such as forward Justin Neely—who was ranked as last season’s second-best rebounder nationally—and big man Noah Feddersen from North Dakota State.
The team will compete in what it calls arguably “the deepest and toughest slate in the nation” with its entry into Big 12 play this year.
