The Colorado Buffaloes women’s basketball team is set to continue its road trip with a matchup against Oklahoma State on January 11 at Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The game is scheduled for 12 p.m. MT and will be streamed on ESPN+. Fans can also listen via the Colorado Radio Network or follow live statistics online.

Colorado, holding an 11-5 overall record and a 2-2 mark in Big 12 play, faces Oklahoma State (13-4, 2-2 Big 12) for the 56th time in program history. The Buffaloes have a narrow edge in the all-time series, leading 28-27. However, they have won only three of the last ten meetings against the Cowgirls. In their most recent encounter last season, Colorado fell to Oklahoma State, 82-65.

Earlier this week, Colorado lost a close contest at Foster Pavilion to No.16 Baylor Bears with a score of 56-52. “The Buffs played a physical game and kept the Bears close, with the game seeing four lead changes and seven ties,” according to team information. Junior guards Zyanna Walker and Desiree Wooten led scoring efforts with 16 and 13 points respectively.

JR Payne continues as head coach in her tenth season for Colorado. She has guided the program to a cumulative record of 175-121 since taking over as CU’s eighth head women’s basketball coach and has secured contract extension through the 2028 season. Under her leadership, Colorado has made three NCAA tournament appearances along with two WNIT berths and one WBIT appearance.

This year marks Colorado’s second season back in the Big 12 Conference after being picked ninth in preseason polls. The team welcomes back four players from last year’s roster: sophomore forward Tabitha Betson (who returns after spending a semester at home), senior forward Jade Masogayo, sophomore guard Kennedy Sanders, and fifth-year center JoJo Nworie.

Additionally, ten newcomers join for the current season—five transfers including junior guards Zyanna Walker (Kansas State), Desiree Wooten (North Texas), Claire O’Connor (Gonzaga), Maeve McErlane (DePaul), senior forward Anaëlle Dutat (Rhode Island); plus five freshmen: Erianna Gooden, Jade Crook from Australia, Isa Hämäläinen from Luxembourg, Logyn Greer from Pennsylvania, and Sophie Zadel from Texas.

On individual performances so far:
– Junior guard Zyanna Walker ranks tied for fourth in conference steals per game (2.3), is fifteenth in free throw percentage (71.9%), tied for twenty-fourth in assists per game (2.6), and recently reached her ninth double-digit scoring game this season.
– Senior forward Anaëlle Dutat stands third in rebounds per game within conference play (8.6) while also ranking among leaders for steals.
– Senior forward Jade Masogayo ranks among conference leaders for blocks per game.
– Junior guard Desiree Wooten notched her eleventh double-digit scoring effort this year against Baylor.

As a unit, Colorado ranks third among Big 12 teams for steals per game (11.19) and holds top-five positions across several rebounding categories.

Broadcast coverage includes streaming on ESPN+ as well as radio broadcasts available through CUBuffs.com or AM630 KHOW; fans can also follow games via live stats on CUBuffs.com.

Recent milestones include multiple players approaching career statistical marks such as points scored or rebounds collected; notably junior guard Zyanna Walker surpassed her career total of seven hundred points during the Baylor matchup earlier this week.
