The Colorado Buffaloes Soccer program announced on May 21 the addition of transfer Michaela McGowan to its roster. McGowan, a midfielder from Broomfield, Colorado, joins the team after playing one season at Colorado State and two seasons at Denver.

McGowan appeared in 18 matches for Colorado State during the 2025 season, where she led the Rams with six goals and five assists. She also scored three goals on free kicks and recorded a goal and an assist in a win over Stetson. “Michaela is a dynamic attacking personality and a great person that will fit in seamlessly into our program, on and off the field,” Danny Sanchez said. “We are excited that Michaela is a Buff!”

Before her time at Colorado State, McGowan played two seasons for Denver, appearing in 37 matches. In the 2024 season, she started 14 games, scored four goals, provided seven assists, and was named to the All-Summit League Second Team.
