City of Boulder issued the following announcement on Nov. 23.
Want to learn more about public safety in Boulder? Join us for our first virtual town hall with new Boulder Police Chief Maris Herold.
The sessions will be online and community members will need to register in advance to gain access. The first session will be Thursday, Dec. 10, and will last an hour, from 4 to 5 p.m. Subsequent sessions will be held every other month with daytime and evening start times to ensure they are as accessible as possible.
“The pandemic may have limited our ability to hold these meetings in person, but it doesn’t mean we can’t find ways to engage with our community and keep everyone informed,” Chief Maris Herold said.
“One of the best ways we curb crime in the city is by making sure residents and business owners know what’s going on in their neighborhoods.
The briefings will include current updates on crime trends and police reform. The discussion will be facilitated by a city representative. The sessions will be recorded and made available for later viewing.
